For our DIY hosting we use Cloudways. We have our own shared servers based in Sydney and we limit the number of websites we host on each one. For our managed hosting, we have partnered with SiteHost for their round the clock monitoring and excellent support. Their servers are in Auckland.
If you choose our DIY option, you should ensure you are running your plugin updates and WordPress core updates regularly. When we hand these websites over, we will usually set the plugins to auto update where we can but not all plugins have this functionality. The WordPress core will update minor versions automatically, but major versions should be handled more carefully. Sometimes when plugins or the WordPress core updates, incompatibilities may be introduced. The risk of this is particularly high the more plugins you have. So if you have DIY hosting, ensure you check your website functionality regularly. If you select our managed hosting option, we take care of all of this for you so you can relax and run your business without worrying about your website.

If you are on our managed hosting plan, get in touch with us and we will clean the site and investigate the root cause of the issue as part of your hosting plan (terms & conditions apply). If you're on our DIY hosting plan we can still sort it for you, however there will be a charge.
We utilise a top notch security and malware scanning plugin and ensure that our own passwords are secure. We will install critical security updates for websites on our managed plans as soon as they're available, and all other updates monthly. You can help your site be secure by ensuring your own password is complex, and only installing high quality, reputable plugins.
