Organic Search traffic is free, and you have to pay for paid traffic. The ultimate goal for all websites is to increase free organic traffic, but doing this can take time and effort with Search Engine Optimisation. Traffic to your site can be boosted by paying for ads - Search ads will still appear in search results like organic results, but they will be higher up and so can get more visibility - if someone clicks an ad, you get charged for the click.
There are never any guarantees when it comes to placement in Search Engines. Ranking on Google is based on hundreds of factors, and the reality is some websites will never make it to page 1. This is a big red flag if someone promises you a number 1 ranking. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is how you go about improving your ranking, but this is a long-term process, and for competitive industries or keywords, getting to page 1 may be extremely difficult. But if you are willing to put the effort in, then we can see some great improvements, and for some clients in more niche industries or with less competitive keywords, getting to page 1 is definitely achievable.
This will be different for every client - it depends on your business, your product/service, where your customers are, and how easily you can define your target customer. For some businesses, Google Ads works better; for others, social media works better. Generally we recommend trying both at the start, and then we can adjust budgets and campaigns once we can see results and what is working and what isn’t.
In an ideal world, yes. A large part of SEO and attracting visitors to your website is the content on your website. And the easiest way to expand your content is by adding blog posts or articles. So finding the time to add this type of relevant content to your website can be really valuable long term.
When we set up a new website, we add Google Analytics to the site. Google Analytics tracks how people use your website. Out of the box, it will track how many people visit your website, what pages they view and where they come from. But to measure how the website performs against your business objectives, we would go one step further. By understanding what you want your website to achieve, we can set up events and conversions to help measure these. For example, if someone clicks a phone number to call you, signs up for your newsletter, fills out a contact form etc. Once these metrics are set up, we can then report on these so you can see how well your website is performing.
